Success Story

Chicago Bridge & Iron/ Howe-Baker Howe-Baker was purchased by Chicago Bridge & Iron, and part of CB&I’s purchase strategy was to upgrade their office image and increase their presence in the market area. The CEO contracted with CRES to find ways to relocate 40,000 square feet of office space to accommodate these requirements while minimizing the increase to operating expenses. Success: CRES met all of the requirements by providing both tenant brokerage and construction management services. This included locating a Class A building that was under-performing compared to market. CRES performed above and beyond traditional brokerage services, providing tenant-project management services on behalf of the tenant and working with Transwestern’s management team. The cost of savings on behalf of the tenant was $100,000, eliminating all construction overages for tenant upgrades.
